What if you could charge your electric vehicle while driving through a city?
The Vedecom Institute, Stellantis, Enedis, Colas and the Gustave Eiffel University made this dream come true!
They developed a dynamic wireless power transfer technology as part of the second use case of the INCIT-EV project.
This technology could be a real game-changer for the electric mobility sector as it could result in a major boost of the adoption of electric vehicles:
- users would gain a lot of time and experience less range anxiety, as they would be able to charge their vehicle while driving
- electric vehicles would become more affordable thanks to the decreased need of raw materials as the size of the batteries would be reduced.
- they would also be even more environmentally friendly thanks to the reduced amount of materials to recycle.
