We are delighted to announce that our super fast charging demonstrator in Tallinn has just been installed!
The tests are currently underway.
The charger should be able to charge an electric vehicle in between 15 to 20 minutes. This super fast charging is made possible by a 200 kW power supply.
It also provides ancillary services:
- it acts as a static reactive compensator that prevents voltage drops that could cause power failures. This is possible thanks to the use of a SCADA platform that allows Enefit to control both the reactive power of the charger to maintain voltage within acceptable levels and the active power to prevent overloading the DSO network during charging
- it participates in the mFRR down flexibility market by integrating with the VPP platform via OCP UA connection with the Enefit Volt platform. Thus, it helps balance the TSO grid by utilizing kW from EV batteries.
