Brief Description

EVBox is the leading global manufacturer of electric vehicle charging stations and charging management software. With an installed base of over 60,000 charging points across more than 45 countries worldwide, EVBox drives sustainable mobility by bringing leading electric vehicle charging solutions to the world.

Main tasks and responsibilities within the project

EVBox will be in charge of developing and deploying an Ultrafast V2G charger, thus leading Task 3.2. and Subtask 8.4.1. In addition, EVBox will provide support in the following activities.
WP4: Explore the capabilities of the ultra-fast charging station bi-directional converter to provide ancillary services to the grid: (i) Frequency regulation (active power injection) (ii) Voltage regulation (reactive power injection) (iii) Power factor correction (losses reduction) (iv) Stabilization and Safety (monitoring and protection system), as well as to explore the impact of such station in various point of connections, monitoring and controlling via SCADA/EMS, log reports, data analysis.
WP5: Explore the communication topology between chargers, EVs and EMS/SCADA (ISO15118, EC-TR61850-90-8 protocols). Major constraints (time stamp, connection speed, reliability), infrastructure investment, cyber security.
WP9: Evaluate various business models and propose a feasible solution that comprehends all stakeholders involved, guaranteeing a shared benefit for all. Scheduling of V2G sessions. Roles of main actors: CPO, MSP, EV driver, DSO. Cost-benefit analysis (battery life-time reduction versus financial benefit, etc).
